Buying Bitcoin In Five Steps

This step by step guide will walk you through purchasing Bitcoin utilizing our Bitcoin ATMs. You will need a digital wallet to complete these steps. Read below to learn more.

Step 1

Download digital wallet

Before you can purchase Bitcoin, you need to have a place to store it! Digital wallets are exactly as they sound, a place to store and hold your digital assets. You can download these wallets directly to your phone through the app store. These apps are provided as a convenience and are in no way affiliated or endorsed by Motor City Bitcoin.

Step 2

Select amount you'd like to buy

Once you have your wallet downloaded on your phone, we can turn our attention back to the ATM. The next step is to select how much Bitcoin you'd like to purchase.

Step 3

Allow machine to scan wallet QR code

For this next step, you'll need to go back to your digital wallet. With your wallet open, pull up your Bitcoin (BTC) deposit address QR code and hold it to the ATM machine to read. You should see your deposit address appear on the ATM interface.

Step 4

Insert Money

Once your deposit address is displayed on the screen, you're ready to purchase the Bitcoin! At this time, we are accepting cash only.

Step 5

Bitcoin is deposited into your account

Congratulations! You've just purchased Bitcoin using one of our ATMs! After paying, you should see the amount you purchased in your digital wallet. Once you've confirmed it's there, you're all set!
